Melody Edens Salon ‘Goes the Distance’ to Support NOCC

Melody Edens Salon and our supportive clients ‘went the distance’ to build awareness and raise funds for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC)/San Antonio Chapter – and its 9th Annual “Run/Walk to Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer” in Selma’s Retama Park on October 29, 2016.

Also a “Teal Partner” sponsor of the event, our salon hosted a pre-event ‘Break The Silence’ Week, promoting both the cause and the event with our salon clients who rallied to show their caring and commitment to NOCC.

Support included cash donations, product purchase donations, daily drawings of product giveaways plus in-kind donations of products and services, adding up to over $1,800.  The salon is an ongoing supporter of NOCC throughout the year, including the Run/Walk event for several years.

Salon team members wore teal ‘pop color’ hair pieces throughout the week (NOCC’s signature color) and also participated in the NOCC Run/Walk event itself.
